TAHU GEJROT

            Almost all of Indonesia have typical snacks that have different flavors and even there are many unique. One of them is typical snack from Cirebon, it is "tahu gejrot". "Tahu gejrot" is familiar food for us that be in demand amid the children and adults because it's taste really tasteful, spicy, sweet, delicious and very enjoyable. "Tahu gejrot" is typical food from Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia. Now, "tahu gejrot" has spread in entire Indonesia including in this Pontianak city. The trader of "tahu gejrot" is very easy to be found, especially in around the city of Cirebon and also some other areas in Indonesia, because including snack that pretty popular. This "tahu gejrot" made of sumedang tofus that have fried then cut into small pieces, put on small plate and serve with sauce that it's spices are chili, garlic, red onion and sugar. The way to eat it also unique specifically the use a small stick, then stab the part of tofu that has cut into small piaces before.

"Tahu gejrot" made of ingredients that are very simple. You can find all ingredients in Indonesian market. The ingredients : 
  • 12 friend tofu 
  • 220 ml water
  • 3 tablespoons tamarind water 
  • 60 ml sweet soy sauce
  • 40 ml salty soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
Grind the below ingredient  : 
  • 3 red onions 
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 3 green Thai chilies
The way to make "tahu gejrot" :
1. Enter the sumedang tofu into boiled water that has prepared and give 1 teaspoon salt, leave for 20 minutes. 
2. After that, fry the tofu until ripe, then lift and cut them into small pieces.
3. Mix water, brown sugar, sweet soy sauce, salty soy sauce, tamarind water, and salt, then cook until boiling.
4. After boiling, let it cold and mix sauce with spices that have ground into rude.
5. Last, enter the pieces of tofu on the plate then pour the sauce and finally ready to serve.

    this blog is very nice and interesting because this blog tell about Indonesian unique food..
    but this blog have cursors is too many variations so that makes blogs a long loading..
    in my opinion this blog is very nice..

We are Agustiawan and Cici Afriani. We are Tanjungpura University students. We are from Selakau, Kabupaten Sambas, Kalimantan Barat. I am Agustiawan, I was born in Selakau, August 31, 1995. My hobbies are dancing, singing, cooking, writing, and reading poetry. I live in Jl. Tanjung Raya 2, Cendana Indah C23. Then, my friend is Cici Afriani, she was born in Selakau, March 16, 1996. Her hobbies are listening to the music, swimming, reading and singing. She live in Jl. Siaga, Gg. Siaga Jaya Number B7. Well, the end of ourselves introduction.
The purpose of our blog to introduce Indonesian unique food, to share all the unique and interesting things that I want to share to you all . This is because we all have known that Indonesia has richness of delicious culinary and unique, where every region has a food or cuisine that to be characteristic of each region.We are going to post many kinds of food here, they are tahu gejrot, tempoyak, kelepon, bubur pedas, and asam pedas ikan.
